Terms & Conditions

The terms for using AdvoTech’s website, firm workspaces, and mobile app.

Last updated:

1. The service and these terms

AdvoTech provides software for law firm administration, case and client management, documents, scheduling, communications, and accounting-related workflows. These terms apply to our website, firm workspaces, and mobile app. By using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

If you use AdvoTech for a firm or another organization, you must have the authority to do so. Any separate written agreement with AdvoTech governs its specific commercial or service commitments where it expressly differs from these terms.

2. Accounts, eligibility, and firm access

You must have the legal capacity and authorization needed to use the service. Provide accurate account information, keep contact details current, protect your credentials, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Firm administrators manage invitations, memberships, roles, permissions, and access to firm records. Your access can change when your firm changes those settings, your membership ends, or the firm’s service access changes. Administrator control of a membership is separate from any privacy rights you may have.

Do not share credentials, impersonate someone else, circumvent access restrictions, or access a firm or matter without authorization.

3. Your content and confidentiality responsibilities

You and the relevant rights holders retain ownership of content supplied to AdvoTech. You authorize AdvoTech and its service providers to store, copy, transmit, display, and process that content as needed to operate the features you or your firm use.

You and your firm are responsible for having the rights, permissions, client instructions, and other lawful authority needed to upload or disclose personal, confidential, privileged, or third-party material. Review recipient details and permissions before sending messages, sharing documents, or using external processing features.

AdvoTech is a software provider. Using the service does not create a lawyer-client relationship with AdvoTech or independently establish legal privilege. Your professional confidentiality, recordkeeping, and ethical obligations remain your responsibility.

4. Professional judgment, court information, and AI

AdvoTech does not provide legal advice. You must independently verify court information, hearing dates, deadlines, reminders, calculations, and other records before relying on them. Notifications, connectivity, external sources, and synchronization can be delayed or unavailable.

OCR, generated summaries, embeddings, timelines, and other AI-assisted outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate. Review outputs against the source documents and applicable law. Do not use generated output as a substitute for professional judgment or verification.

External OCR/AI features may send documents or extracted content to processing providers as described in the Privacy Policy. Only use those features when authorized by your firm and the relevant confidentiality requirements.

5. Permitted use

Use AdvoTech lawfully and in a way that respects other users and the service. You must not:

  • Upload or distribute unlawful content or material you are not authorized to handle.
  • Introduce malware, interfere with availability, probe for unauthorized access, or bypass security, permissions, quotas, or credit controls.
  • Use communications features for spam, harassment, impersonation, or unauthorized disclosure.
  • Misrepresent generated content, service records, or another person’s identity, or infringe intellectual property and privacy rights.

6. Subscriptions, resource credits, and payments

Firm subscriptions, user limits, storage, SMS, AI credits, and other resource allocations are subject to the plan, order, or commercial arrangement agreed with AdvoTech. Availability and usage depend on the firm’s current access, allocation, and balance.

Prices, payment arrangements, subscription periods, cancellations, and any refunds are governed by the applicable agreed commercial terms and mandatory law. These terms do not establish automatic renewal or an entitlement to a refund. Accounting features help organize your records and do not replace professional accounting, tax, or financial advice.

7. Third parties and availability

Some features depend on authentication, hosting/storage, email, SMS, push notification, OCR, AI, court information, and other third-party services. Their availability and applicable terms can affect the features you use.

We may maintain, update, or change the service. Unless a separate agreement states otherwise, we do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or a particular outcome. Keep appropriate independent records and backups for your professional responsibilities, and protect copies exported from the service.

8. Suspension, termination, and retained records

Access may be restricted or suspended for unauthorized use, security concerns, violations of these terms, legal requirements, or changes to the firm’s agreed service access. Firm administrators may also revoke a membership or permissions.

Ending access does not by itself delete firm records, legal/accounting history, stored files, or backups. You can request personal-account deletion on the public account-deletion page, which verifies the account details and a code sent by email or SMS. Some historical firm and case associations remain stored after account access is removed. Retention and other privacy requests are addressed in the Privacy Policy and applicable agreements and law.

9. Responsibility and mandatory rights

You remain responsible for your professional decisions, content, account security, access choices, and compliance with the law. AdvoTech’s responsibility is subject to the applicable agreement and law.

To the extent permitted by law, AdvoTech does not accept liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on unverified records or generated output, missed reminders, third-party interruptions, or unauthorized use outside our control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

10. Governing law, changes, and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Nepal unless a binding agreement or mandatory law requires otherwise.

We may revise these terms as the service changes. The date on this page identifies the latest revision, and we will communicate material changes where required.
